Kranz Merino Wool Scarf in Anthracite Melange and Hay Green

Change the colours and a knitted pattern can take on an entirely different character. In this version of our Kranz scarf, muted Hay Green meets dark Anthracite Melange, bringing definition to the repeating design while keeping the overall colour palette balanced.

Kranz – German for “wreath” – is an original LANARTO pattern built from interlocking forms arranged across the knitted surface. From close up, the individual elements become visible; from a distance, they merge into a continuous rhythmic structure.

The scarf is knitted as a two-colour Jacquard from 100% Extra Soft Merino Wool. Rather than being printed onto the finished fabric, the pattern is created directly from the two yarns during knitting. The colour balance reverses on the opposite side, adding variation when the scarf is folded and wrapped.

A natural green against melange grey

Hay Green provides the lighter, nature-inspired element, while Anthracite Melange adds depth through its subtly varied grey surface. Together, the shades give the Kranz pattern a softer contrast than Black and White while still keeping its structure clearly visible.

Measuring approximately 190–210 cm long and 35–40 cm wide, the scarf can be wrapped and draped in different ways and is designed for both women and men.

We develop the Kranz pattern, knit the scarf and carry out the subsequent finishing stages ourselves at LANARTO in our workshop beside the Oder River in Brandenburg, Germany.
