About LANARTO slow fashion

LANARTO slow fashion creates knitted accessories and clothing with distinctive patterns, carefully selected materials and unusual colour combinations. We develop and make our collections ourselves in our own workshop.

After many years in the Berlin area, we found our new home in the Oderbruch region of Brandenburg. The surrounding landscape provides space for new ideas, the development of our patterns and the making of our collections.

At the heart of our work is our own knitting process. We work with materials including Merino Wool Extrasoft and organic cotton, creating designs that range from graphic and understated to playful, floral and colourful.

Having our own workshop allows us to develop special colour combinations, small collections and individual custom-made pieces. We produce mainly according to demand and in small quantities rather than building up large stocks.

The key stages involved in making our knitted accessories take place in our workshop in the Oderbruch – from translating our designs into knitted patterns and knitting to linking, sewing, finishing and final inspection.

Whenever technically possible, usable yarn from faulty production is rewound and used again, while yarn remnants are reused where possible. Most of the electricity required for our production is generated on site by our own photovoltaic system.

For us, design and production belong together. Working in our own workshop gives us the freedom to select materials, colours and patterns ourselves, experiment with new ideas and inspect every finished piece directly.

The Oderbruch marks a new chapter for LANARTO – with room for ideas, hands-on production and the continuous development of our collections.

Individual commissions

We can also develop individual knitted products in small quantities, including scarves with company logos, custom patterns and designs for fashion designers, labels and retailers. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your project.
